Heinkel Hat

My wife (who is incredibly talented as well as understanding of my hobby!) made me a Heinkel hat for the winter.

Admit it- you're jealous!! It is a beautiful hat made out of wool that should keep me warm during the long New England winter. I took some pictures of the process she used to make it:

 The first step was to choose photos that could be simplified to make knittable patterns.

She reduced the photos to patterns. The car was divided into two pieces to avoid seams.
